FAQ

How much does Lab42 Cost?

  • Lab42 has two plans available—Basic and Premium. A comprehensive explanation of pricing can be found on our Pricing page.

How are you different from other market research sites?

  • Unlike more traditional market research services, Lab42 does not use survey panels. Which means that instead of receiving stale responses from people who are predisposed to completing surveys, you are receiving fresh insights from consumers who may not normally be so inclined to participate in survey panels. Because we can hyper-target to consumers within social networks, we can offer our services for pennies on the dollar compared to traditional market research websites.

How do I know the research you are conducting is valid?

  • By using a third party survey software, we can track responses from each participant to ensure people aren’t taking the surveys more than once. In addition to qualifying the participant based on keywords within their social network profiles, we also have qualifying questions placed into the survey to ensure the data we are collecting is answering the who, what, when, where, and why of your questions.

How long can my survey be?

  • We have seen that the shorter the survey, the higher the completion rate. That being said, we tend to limit our surveys to 25 questions, which normally takes our respondents about 5 minutes to complete.

What types of questions can I ask?

  • All types of questions—from simple, one answer multiple choice to open ended text. We don’t limit the kinds of questions you can ask, because, sometimes, simple multiple choice questions just don’t cut it.

How specific can I target?

  • We aren’t using research panels that already have pre-designated demographics, so you can virtually target any market. In the past, we’ve been able to successfully target parents with children under the age of 7, people who read e-books, and pet owners, to name a few examples.

Are your respondents skewed?

  • Partially. We are reaching only those users who are currently on social networks. However, these users are normally very representative of a wide array of markets.
